Simon Reynolds interviews the Manic Street Preachers in darkest Surrey “rehearsing for a tour and demoing their first and last LP”. Taken from Melody Maker 20th July, 1991.
A little treat for any of you fashionably late Blissbloggers.
And you did read that right – “their first and last LP”. I’ll remind you of the Manics manifesto at the time – “release one album that will outsell Appetite for Destruction, tour the world, headline Wembley for three nights and then burn out”.
I’d urge any passing readers to remember this fact if they find themselves tempted to buy any one of their seven other LP’s. SEVEN! At this rate the sun’s going to burn out before the fucking Manics’ do.

This is a nice one.
Why do the comments (and the ability to comment) disappear for every article other than the latest one?

ahh…I think I know the problem.
If you’re just looking at the ‘home’ page it lists the most recent post slightly differently from older posts. If you click on the title of the older post you should see and be able to comment on that post.
It’s the reason I put up the recent comments widget on the right because you can’t easily tell that people have commented on older posts just from scanning down the hoomepage
